Beaverton Sub Station : Beaverton Lunch Link

There’s nothing like getting a sandwich served with the side of a sweet deal. Sub Station isn’t glamorous, and at the same time it’s like taking a trip into a time machine where good food is the order of the day. When all restaurants were privately owned and the proprietor was there serving it up.  Yelp – Read More>

Yuzu : Beaverton Lunch Link

So i went on vacation and had the so called best Ramen in Boston, MA as well as eating a yelp favorite Ippudo in NYC, but after spending over $20 bucks on a effing bowl at Ippudo, i came to the realization that this lil joint in the middle of Beaverton, Oregon is the best Ramen i have had so far. I didn’t get to try all the places in NYC and Boston, but this Ippudo place had over 1000 yelp reviews, so needless to say, you are getting some fine Ramen for coming here. So where did Ippudo fail that Yuzu does so well? Its all in the meat! The meat at Ippudo was like eatting freaking jerky. I was chewing for days, while at Yuzu, you don’t even need teeth. The meat and fat literally melt and slide down your throat. Both broths were comparable and my wife likes the noodles better at Ippudo. Yelp – Read More>

As the office social chair, I set lunch up. PDX Restaurant Reviews By regular Folks – Read More>

Stan Kramer moves to Portland to save his Qdoba grill franchises : Lunch News

In the beginning, you could have taken what Stan Kramer knew about the restaurant business and rolled it up in one of his burritos.

He’d made good money in the Silicon Valley’s high-tech boom and was living the semi-retired life in Denver. His six Qdoba Mexican Grill franchises in Oregon were admittedly a “passing investment.”  Read More – OregonLive.Com>

Jin Wah Seafood Restaurant : Beaverton Lunch Link

I had heard good things about Jin Wah from the Guilty Carnivore. At least three times a year, at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years, I eat dim sum, and I have to admit, I was less than enchanted about my old “favorites”.

I knew Fong Chong had changed hands since last winter, which might be good, but might also be bad. And I hadn’t heard from anyone who had been there lately.Read More altPortland.com >
